
Richard Jones, M.D.
Dr. Jones is from a long line of physicians. His grandfather,
father, two uncles, two cousins and son are all physicians. He is
from Indianapolis and graduated from Shortridge High School. He then
attended Indiana University and graduated from Indiana University Medical
School in 1964.
His training included an internship Marion County General Hospital,
one year of general surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital, and a four-year
residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Indiana University
Medical Center completing in 1969. He was board certified in 1970.
He has been in practice in Indianapolis since 1969 primarily at
St. Vincent's and Community Hospitals. He was Chairman of the ENT
Department at St. Vincent's Hospital for 17 years and is past president of
the Marion County Otolaryngology Society. He is a member of the
AMA (American Medical Association), Indiana State Medical Association,
and Marion County Medical Society.
He and his wife, Pate, have two children. His son, C.T. is a physician
and daughter Megan is an attorney. Dr. Jones is an avid golfer and enjoys
sailing and basketball.
